Source of comfort

She’be Abi Talib
The last 3 years of her life: At the age of 60, she spent 3 years in She’be Abi Talib with the infant Hazrat Fatima (sa). This was a time when food was scarce and difficult to obtain, and they subsisted mainly on grass and date seeds.

Inside She’be Abi Talib
In the seventh year after Be’sat, the unbelievers of Mecca enforced a total boycott of the Muslims. Muslims could not live among others, and were not permitted to engage in any trade. Facing such difficult circumstances, most Muslims along with the Holy Messenger (saw) sought refuge for 3 long years in a part Mecca associated with Hazrat Abu Talib (as) called She’be Abi Talib.
[Biharul Anwar,v19, p19]
Death
The Year of Grief: She passed away a few months after the siege at She’be Abi Talib ended. That was the same year in which Hazrat Abu Talib (as) too passed away. This is why The Holy Messenger named that year “Aamul Huzn” which means “The Year of Grief”
