Hussain in the 21st Century: A Message to uplift Humanity
Lesson from Imam Hussain in response to ISIS
The Refugee Crisis
In recent years, the world has seen an influx of injustices, an era of corrupt and immoral mentalities. With the rise of extremism and conflict destroying whole nations and coercing its people to seek asylum, the cry for help emerges pleading for universal tranquility. Refugees from Syria are embarking on long journeys over treacherous waters to escape perilous conditions. Once peaceful nations, they now have become zones for terror and warfare. Day by day, chaos is ensuing in the world right before our eyes. The modern-day era has begun to remind us of the tragedy that changed the face of humanity 1,400 years ago. Husain’s stand for justice and dignity and his unwillingness to submit to the corrupt realm of the despotic rulers of the time is why the social justice movement prevails today. Husain’s final moments in life were a lesson on standing with the oppressed, to take actions against any oppressor. His ultimate sacrifice Ali Asghar and Ali Akbur; are the message for the young. No matter the age, you yourself can revolutionize against injustices occurring today! The questions arises; How are we following his last words today?
Come out to Husain Day on November 14th, 2015 at Masjid e Ali to listen to four enlightening speakers and their interpretation of Imam Husain’s movement. Join us as we involve the youth to learn what we can do to make a difference today.
